Meeting with the delegation of Malaysia
Head of INTERPOL National Central Bureau in the Republic of Uzbekistan Rustam Isroilov met with the Deputy Chief of Criminal Police of Malaysia Datuk Mohd Zakaria Ahmad at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Issues of further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia in investigation activity and fight against crime were discussed at the meeting.
It was noted that introduction of visa-free regime for Malaysian citizens since February 10, 2018, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On additional organizational measures to create favorable conditions for development of tourism potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, serves to increasing the flow of tourists to Uzbekistan.
It was emphasized that strengthening cooperation between law enforcement bodies of the two countries will ensure tourists’ safety, jointly fight against transnational crimes such as, international terrorism, religious extremism and human trafficking. At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on creation of legal basis for cooperation in this direction, intensification of interdepartmental ties to combat illegal migration. The possibilities of further improvement of regional cooperation mechanisms were also considered.
Malaysian delegation also visited the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Tashkent, became familiar with their experience in training personnel and combating crime.
