On 12 July 2022, Uzbekistan delegation led by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov met with the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Sergey Lebedev, in Moscow, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Vladimir Norov noted that the Commonwealth has been and remains a popular platform for exchanging views on current issues on the international agenda.

The parties confirmed their mutual readiness for active cooperation within the framework of the Commonwealth in areas of mutual interest.

Various aspects of upcoming events, including the holding of the next meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers in Uzbekistan, were discussed.

Views were exchanged on the current regional and international topics.

The Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee was informed in detail about the discussion of amendments and additions to the Constitution of Uzbekistan, the main priority of which is the person, his life, freedom, honor and dignity, inalienable rights and interests.
