Director of the International Institute for Central Asia Javlon Vakhabov met with the Australian delegation led by Special Representative on Afghanistan Lucienne Manton.

Views were exchanged on the current situation in Afghanistan, and the prospects for bilateral cooperation in this direction were discussed.

The parties emphasized that the most important issue for regional security remains maintaining peace and stability in this country.

The need for continued and unwavering support for the Afghan population, including the provision of humanitarian assistance, was underscored.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain regular contact on issues of mutual interest.
