On 18 March 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan Kim Hee-sang, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

After a brief ceremony of presenting a copy of credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to Uzbekistan and wished success in a high and responsible post.

Current issues of Uzbekistan – South Korean special strategic partnership in areas of mutual interest were discussed during the talks.

The importance of the comprehensive implementation of the agreements reached during the summit meetings was noted.

The schedule of the upcoming events within the framework of the Year of Mutual Exchanges to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 85th anniversary of ethnic Koreans living in Uzbekistan was considered.
