On 18 March 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to Uzbekistan Frank Castellanos (with residence in Moscow), Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Accepting the credentials of the Ambassador, the Minister congratulated him on taking office and wished him success in carrying out his responsible mission.

The parties discussed the prospects for the intensification of Uzbekistan – Dominican cooperation in political, diplomatic, trade-investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.

An agreement was reached to continue interaction between the parties within the framework of the United Nations and the Organization of American States.
