On November 3, 2021, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan and the efforts of the international community, as well as the two countries to enhance cooperation in the Afghan direction.

The Russian Ambassador emphasized Uzbekistan’s active participation in establishing long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.

The parties also exchanged views on the provision of humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, as well as economic assistance to Afghanistan.
