On December 16, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania Daniel Christian Ciobanu, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties considered current issues of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, investment, tourism and other spheres.

Mutual interest was confirmed in building up direct ties between representatives of the business community, organizing visits of entrepreneurs and holding joint business forums.

It was noted that deepening inter-parliamentary ties is an important tool of interstate contact. In this context, the parties advocated strengthening the dialogue between the legislative bodies of the parties in normative activity, improving the legal framework and others.

The parties also exchanged proposals and opinions on the schedule of bilateral events at various levels and formats for the coming year.
