Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fazilov has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow Eitvydas Bajarūnas, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of Uzbekistan – Lithuania relations in political, trade-economic, investment, tourism, cultural-humanitarian, educational, transport-logistics and other spheres.

The schedule of the upcoming official contacts at various levels was considered.

The main attention was paid to certain aspects of interaction within regional and international structures.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in the active promotion of economic diplomacy. The need for enhancing collaboration between chambers of commerce and industry, businesspeople and the organization of joint events in this area was noted.

The parties exchanged views on strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Lithuania parliaments.
