On September 10, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia Reinis Trokša, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Accepting the copies of credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible post and expressed hope for his active work to further strengthen the multifaceted Uzbekistan – Latvia cooperation.

Issues related to the implementation of previously reached agreements and the schedule of the upcoming official meetings at various levels were discussed at the meeting.

Mutual interest was expressed in the activation of political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties.

Views were exchanged on the interaction of the parties within the framework of international organizations and certain regional issues.
