On September 21, 2021, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Uzbekistan Tilo Klinner, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed the development of the situation in Afghanistan, as well as the humanitarian situation in this country.

The Ambassador of Germany stressed the significant role of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.

In addition, Tilo Klinner expressed special gratitude to the Uzbek side for assistance in organizing the evacuation of German and other foreign citizens from Afghanistan.

The German side was also informed about Uzbekistan's efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people and promote the economic recovery of the neighboring country.
