Ambassador of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan Md. Zahangir Alam presented copies of various encyclopedic literature on the history and culture of his country to the library of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).

The books were handed over during the diplomat's visit to UWED and his meeting with Rector Komiljon Karimov.

The Ambassador spoke in detail about his intention to give a new impetus to further development of cooperation between Bangladesh and Uzbekistan and highly appreciated the open and pragmatic foreign policy of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which contributes to the broad development of friendly relations between the countries of Central and South Asia.

Issues of enhancing the interaction of UWED with universities and scientific institutions of Bangladesh were also discussed at the meeting. In particular, an agreement was reached to organize a lecture by the Ambassador for teachers and students of UWED, dedicated to the peculiarities of foreign and domestic policy of Bangladesh.

Ambassador Md. Zahangir Alam expressed interest in training scientific and pedagogical personnel through the implementation of joint projects. In this regard, he got acquainted with the requirements for obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Uzbekistan.
