The State Committee for Development of Tourism hosted a meeting with representatives of NGOs, including the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan, the Federation of Aeronautics of Uzbekistan, the Geographical Society of Uzbekistan, the Federation of Extreme and Mountain Tourism of Uzbekistan, the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Uzbekistan, the Association of Private Tourism Agencies.

Chairman of the State Committee for Development of Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.Abdukhakimov noted that the committee aims to finance NGO projects that contribute to the development of tourism, improve tourism infrastructure and increase the number of potential tourists, as well as strengthen social partnership with an important link in civil society institutions.

The purpose of this event was to discuss issues of institutional support for the activities of non-governmental non-profit organizations in tourism industry, financing significant NGO projects that are aimed at development of tourism.

According to the Committee, at the meeting, representatives of NGOs presented their projects with problems that are expected to be solved due to a lack of state support, the implementation of which serves the development of tourism industry. Following the meeting, relevant decisions were taken on the basis of views of participants.
