At the meeting, it was noted that the Central Asian region is one of the few examples of positive dynamics in strengthening political trust between states and jointly solving regional problems on the principles of mutual consideration of interests and reasonable compromises. The parties noted with satisfaction that this situation was established largely due to the initiatives and concrete affairs of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Issues related to prospects for resolving the situation in Afghanistan, which Uzbekistan considers not as a source of security threats, but as a unique strategic opportunity and takes all necessary efforts to launch a comprehensive peace political process were considered.

The parties also discussed a number of other current issues on bilateral agenda.
