A meeting was held with the Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Imankulov within the framework of the 17th Meeting of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the SCO Member States.

Issues of ensuring regional security, including in the field of joint counteraction to terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking, ensuring border security, were considered.

The need for a permanent mechanism of consultations between the offices of the Security Councils of the two countries to effectively coordinate joint efforts in this sphere was emphasized.

An agreement was reached on further filling Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan cooperation in security with new content and practical results.
