First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev, who arrived in Tehran to attend the Asia Cooperation Dialogue Ministerial Meeting, met with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Bagheri.

During the talks, the state and prospects of bilateral relations in various directions were discussed. Special attention was paid to the two countries’ interaction in the trade and economic sphere, including the intensification of ties between the two countries’ regions.

Issues of implementing interregional transport and logistics projects aimed at increasing the volume of mutual trade turnover and enhancing trade-economic ties were considered. The importance of developing partnerships in the cultural-humanitarian and tourism spheres was stated.

In addition, the parties exchanged views on certain aspects of the international and regional agenda, including the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue.
