The Translation Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of diplomats-translators with the heads of diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in foreign countries.

The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the UN in New York Bakhtiyor Ibrakhimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to France (in Portugal – concurrently) Sardor Rustamboyev.

High-ranking diplomats gave detailed explanations to the diplomats-translators about the importance of the ambassador’s activity, what knowledge and skills a person aspiring to become a professional diplomat should have, what initiatives within the UN were put forward by Uzbekistan last year, about the available opportunities for a professional internship at diplomatic missions abroad.

The meeting was held in a constructive and informative atmosphere, which allowed the participants to exchange their experiences and opinions.
