Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met in the United States with EPAM Systems Vice President for Technology Solutions Chris Layer and Vice President for Government Solutions Anna Danegger.

The parties discussed issues related to developing the IT sector in Uzbekistan, exporting IT services, and prospects for its development.

Representatives of the company noted the high potential of personnel in digital technologies in Uzbekistan and the measures taken by the government.

Minister Sherzod Shermatov invited representatives of the world’s largest IT educational company to expand educational activities in Uzbekistan. He emphasized the need for the company’s contribution to achieving the goal of training 65 thousand specialists needed by Uzbekistan next year. The need for training personnel in areas specializing in artificial intelligence was noted.

With the involvement of foreign specialists, the EPAM System is ready to help improve the quality of education.
