EBRD President, welcoming the head of Uzbekistan delegation, noted the significant progress in relations with Uzbekistan, achieved over the past two years, largely due to fundamental reforms and innovations in the country’s economic model, initiated by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Current issues of cooperation, prospects for expanding the project portfolio and priority areas for further interaction were also discussed at the meeting.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, issues related to the organization and holding of a meeting of the Foreign Investors Council in June this year, as well as the possible participation of the bank’s leadership in Tashkent International Investment Forum this year were considered.

Following the meeting, mandate letters were signed on implementation of a number of large-scale projects in the field of modernization of water supply systems in the regions of the country, totaling more than 300 million USD.
