On December 7, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Jumakhon Giyasov, who is completing his mission as Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO RATS), Uzbekistan MFA reports.
It was noted that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the activities of the RATS, which is the main body of the SCO to ensure the interaction of the Organization's member states in the fight against terrorism, extremism and separatism.
The Minister highly appreciated the personal contribution of Mr. Giyasov to further the development of the Organization and ensure positive dynamics of interaction between the competent authorities of the SCO member states.
Mr. Giyasov expressed sincere gratitude to the Uzbek side for the favorable conditions created for the successful fulfillment of his mission and assistance to the activities of the SCO RATS Executive Committee.
Starting January 1, 2022, the post of Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS will be held by the representative of Uzbekistan Ruslan Mirzayev.
