As part of a working visit by a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by representatives of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Compatriots Abroad, a meeting was held with our compatriots in Philadelphia.

The event was attended by more than 250 of our compatriots and their family members. During the meeting, members of the delegation provided detailed information about the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and the activities of the Committee.

During the dialogue, special attention was given to preserving Uzbek culture, language, and national traditions, instilling a love for the Motherland in the younger generation, developing the system of teaching the Uzbek language, and strengthening ties with members of the Uzbek diaspora living abroad.

An agreement was also reached to implement several joint initiatives in cooperation with active compatriots and leaders of public organizations.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Committee and the public association “Yurtdosh”. This document will serve as a solid legal foundation for future joint initiatives.
