On 23 March 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with the Chairperson of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Deputy Chairperson of the Justice and Development Party of Turkey Binali Yildirim, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Mr. Vladimir Norov congratulated Mr. Binali Yildirim on his appointment and wished him success in a high and responsible post, noting the fruitful results of the meeting of the Council of Elders of the OTS, held on 9-11 February this year in Istanbul.

The parties discussed the current cooperation issues between Uzbekistan and the OTS, considered the schedule of the upcoming joint events at various levels.

Views were exchanged on the further development of the Council’s activities.
