Hokim of Tashkent region Zoyir Mirzayev met with the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China and representatives of several Chinese companies.
As noted at the meeting, the number of large-scale projects implemented with the participation of Chinese entrepreneurs has increased. A favorable investment environment has been created in the region, and new enterprises have been launched in tourism, utilities, energy, light and chemical industries, and other industries. Taking this into account, views were exchanged on further development of cooperation.

The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region congratulated Uzbekistan on the 33rd anniversary of independence and spoke in detail about the capabilities of enterprises in various industries operating in the autonomous region.

Representatives of several Chinese companies made proposals regarding implementing projects in the capital region for copper processing, jewelry, building materials production, medical equipment, and agriculture. The relevant projects were presented.

Mr. Mirzayev thanked for the offer, spoke about the region’s potential, planned projects, and expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive assistance to representatives of Chinese companies.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to consider priority areas of practical cooperation.
