The participants discussed the state of cooperation and development prospects between Uzbekistan and France. Issues of enhancing interaction between the research centers were considered.

The sides also discussed issues related to the implementation of initiatives that were announced by the Leader of Uzbekistan during his official visit to France in 2018.

The French expert positively assessed the dynamics of bilateral interaction, the development of processes in Central Asia, and the prospects for strengthening ties between our region and the European Union.

Emmanuel Dupuy noted that thanks to the new regional course of Uzbekistan under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a favorable political atmosphere has been created in Central Asia, which helps to strengthen mutual trust and establish mutually beneficial cooperation. The process that has formed in the region opens up good opportunities for building up France’s bilateral and multilateral partnership with the Central Asian countries.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the development of practical steps for the implementation of joint programs and activities, including research work, workshops, conferences, as well as expert meetings with the participation of representatives of Central Asian countries and the IPSE.
