Tashkent hosted the 15th meeting of the Youth Council of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The high-level meeting was attended by Uzbekistan delegation under its chairmanship in the SCO, as well as the delegations of the member states of the organization led by the heads of the national segments of the Youth Council and other authorized representatives.

“SCO has a worthy place among prestigious and influential international organizations”, said Alisher Sadullayev, Director of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. – Its activities are aimed at ensuring security, stability and sustainable development in the region and the world. Our meeting will serve the economic and social growth of the SCO member states in the age of information and globalization, increase the role of youth in these processes, and strengthen cooperation.

Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming sent a video message to the participants. According to him, the meeting of the Youth Council of the SCO Member States in Tashkent aroused great interest among the world community.
