The 44th meeting of the General Assembly of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was held in London via videoconference.

At the meeting, the President of the Organization Eddy Njoroge, Secretary General Sergio Mujica and Ulrika Franke, who will take over as ISO President from January 1, 2022, presented information on the work performed in the field of standardization during the coronavirus pandemic, regional cooperation, project activity in developed countries, assisting manufacturing and service enterprises, electing new candidates to the ISO Council, developing standardization in high-tech sectors of the economy, applying IT technologies in the sphere of standardization.

The event was attended by the heads of national standardization agencies from over 100 countries, including the Director General of Uzbekistan Agency for Technical Regulation D. Sattorov.
