At the meeting, prospects for cooperation in attracting direct investments in fishing industry, issues of assistance in developing and mastering the latest technologies, conducting joint scientific research in this direction were discussed. Main attention was paid to large-scale reforms in banking sector, the conditions created in the country for improving the investment climate and business environment, and measures taken on economic liberalization.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, attracting direct investments and experienced Turkish specialists, as well as widespread introduction of advanced technologies in the country in order to establish and further increase the cultivation of highly productive fish species in natural and artificial reservoirs, and support the organizations of fish industry in Uzbekistan.
