A Movie Caravan creative group organized an event in Samarkand under the slogan “New Uzbekistan and National Cinematography”.
“Ilhaq” film dedicated to the Second World War was shown. Participants got acquainted with the history of the film’s creation. The documentary film “Matonat” was also presented. It is created at the film studio of documentary and newsreel films with the assistance of Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency and Samarkand Regional Hokimiyat.
The film tells about 101 Uzbek soldiers who were killed in a Nazi concentration camp. It was filmed according to the stories of witnesses.
The Hokim of Samarkand region E. Turdimov, the head of Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency F. Abdukhalikov noted that the work on filming military movies will continue. It is planned to create a film about Bahodur Yalangtush, the commander, the founder of the Registan complex. The Hokimiyat of Samarkand region and Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency have already signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
