The draft Constitutional Law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan” is currently being discussed throughout the country with the participation of the general public.
An event dedicated to the process of constitutional reforms was held at JSCB Agrobank via videoconference. All employees of the bank took part in it.
At the event, the head of the Department of the Institute of Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philosophy in Legal Sciences Shakhnoza Joldasova gave explanations about the amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As it was noted, the Draft Constitutional Law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was prepared based on the proposals of the people, as well as the proposals of the Head of the state put forward at the meeting with members of the Constitutional Commission, taking into account that the honor and dignity of a person should now be at the forefront of transformations in all spheres.
The Draft Constitutional Law provides for the introduction of more than 200 amendments to more than 60 articles of the Constitution.
The participants recognized that the amendments and additions are aimed at implementing the principle “In the name of human honor and dignity”.
