According to the preliminary data, in January-July 2018 enterprises of the country produced industrial goods for 113.1 trillion soums. The growth rate made up 110.7% compared to the same period last year, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics reports.

The main factor of growth in the total volume of industrial production was the growth in the manufacturing industry by 7.6%, mining and quarrying – by 31.2%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning – by 1.3%, water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal – by 35.6%.

A significant contribution to the growth of manufacturing products was made by medium-high-tech production of the republic – 5.5%, the growth rate of which by the same period of 2017 amounted to 121.6%.
