The Medical University is being created in Yangi Namangan district, together with the University of Lahore.

A delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, led by the Governor of Punjab, Mohammad Sarwar, inspected the construction. The university will be created in the building of the 2nd Medical College in Guzal neighborhood and the former Diagnostic Center in Namangan. Faculties of Dentistry, Pharmaceuticals, Information Technology, International Law and Business will be opened here. 500 people will be accepted in the 2022-2023 academic year. It is planned to accept a thousand people in the 2023-2024 academic year. Up to 10 percent of preferential educational loans will be provided.

It is planned to allocate grants for $600 thousand over five years. Investors will provide $5 million in foreign direct investment to renovate buildings.
