Tashkent hosted a Media Forum of the Organization of Turkic States.
In the first part of the event, reports were presented on the current state and prospects for cooperation of the member countries of the OTS in information.
As part of the panel meeting, reports were read on the results and achievements in the fight against disinformation, existing problems and shortcomings, and expanding partnerships in the search for their effective elimination.
It was emphasized that in the era of digital technologies, the issue of countering the spread of disinformation in the form of deepfakes and cybercrime is more relevant than ever. Some of the most effective solutions were named as increasing the media literacy of the population, rational use of social networks, and artificial intelligence for the prompt delivery of objective, substantiated, and reliable data.
