During 2023, the results of nine international rankings in the socio-economic sphere and ten in the political and legal sphere were announced.
In particular, in the Corruption Perceptions Index of Transparency International, Uzbekistan, having risen by 14 positions, ranks 126th among 180 countries.
In the Logistics Performance Index, Uzbekistan, having risen by 11 positions, ranks 88th among 138 countries.
In addition, Uzbekistan’s indicators increased by 8 points in the Sustainable Development Goals Index, which ensured 69th place among 166 states. The country’s performance in the Index of Economic Freedom improved by 8 points, providing the 109th place out of 176 countries.
This was reported at a meeting of the Republican Council for Working with International Ratings and Indices.

The results of 2022 within the framework of the Rule of Law Index were discussed at the meeting, chaired by the Chairperson of the Senate, Chairperson of the Republican Council for Working with International Ratings and Indices Tanzila Narbayeva.
The participants considered the implementation of the Presidential resolution of May 18, 2022 “On measures to ensure the harmonization of scientific potential and practical activities in working with international ratings and indices”.
In particular, draft medium- and long-term strategies that should be adopted for the accelerated development of areas and industries regularly rated low in structural indicators of international ratings were discussed.
The participants outlined measures to improve the country’s position in international rankings related to the socio-economic and political-legal spheres, including improving Uzbekistan’s position on low indicators noted in the Global Innovation Index report 2023.
