On the occasion of May 9 – Day of Remembrance and Honor, a ceremony of laying flowers at the Memorial Alley in Samarkand was held with the participation of Samarkand regional administration, state and public organizations and youth.

Participants of the Second World War Ahad Ochilov and Mikhail Kalmogorov also took part in the event and commemorated their friends.

A charity event for veterans was also organized by the regional Hokimiyat.
