Martin Hug: Vaccination is the best protection against the spread of the virus and its new strains

An online international conference on “COVID-19: An effective fight against the global pandemic – experiences and practical conclusions of German university medicine” has taken place.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Service of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, German Society for International Cooperation, OPASCA GmbH, German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany. The event was attended by about 200 medical professionals.

Chief Radiologist of the Ministry of Health, Doctor of Medical Sciences Damir Zaredinov, CEO of OPASCA GmbH Alexey Sverdlov, and others noted the practical importance of cooperation between Uzbekistan and German medical professionals in combating the coronavirus pandemic.

The participants of the conference discussed the German experience in the fight against coronavirus infection.

Professor Martin Hug, Chief Pharmacist at the University of Freiburg Medical Center, expressed his views on the subject. The expert informed about the state of the coronavirus pandemic in Germany, the current situation and the experience gained in combating it. Professor Martin Hug also provided information on COVID-19 vaccines.

According to the professor, the organization of vaccination is very important in the fight against the virus. Vaccination of the population is good protection against the spread of the virus and its new strains.
