Asian Indoor Athletics Championships kicked off in Tehran.

Uzbekistan national team has successfully started its performance in the continental championships.

Malika Nasriddinova from Syrdarya region’s Bayaut district won the silver medal in the women's shot-put.

According to the results, Sun Yue (China) took the first place with a score of 17.65 meters, Uzbekistan’s Malika Nasriddinova – the second place with a score of 15.42 meters, and Elham Hashemi (Iran) – the third place with a score of 14.27 meters.

As previously reported, Malika Nasriddinova is a contender to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
