On December 16-17, a webinar was held with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Department of Statistics of Malaysia (DSM).
The event was attended by the leadership and employees of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
Participants discussed the current issues of effective organization of statistical activities and implementation of modern internationally recognized models. Information was provided on DSM activities, experience in the implementation of the standard model of the statistical business process GSBPM and the information model GSIM, implementation of the national basic principles of quality assurance NQAF, the practice of studying sectors of the economy, households, as well as the labor market.
The parties also considered the issue of introducing the Malaysian methodology into the statistical practice, which will allow to determine the scale of the shadow economy in the country, which in turn will allow government bodies to take effective decisions and measures to reduce it.
Following the event, an agreement was reached on the continuation of such events on the current issues, in particular, on the effective use of advanced ICT capabilities in statistics bodies.
