The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is currently on an official visit to Japan at the invitation of Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. The visit aims to strengthen the strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan.

As part of the business program, meetings and events are being held with the heads of leading Japanese companies and major financial institutions. During these discussions, particular attention is being given to expanding trade and economic cooperation and promoting joint investment projects.

UzA correspondent spoke with Makoto Ishigaki, President of Japan’s Ishigaki Company, who expressed his intention to expand his company’s business activities in Uzbekistan in the future.
