In Jizzakh Region’s Aranasoy District, a round table conversation has been conducted on the subject of “Women’s role in ensuring their families’ stability” as part of the implementation of the Year of Maternal and Child Health state programme.

The event arranged by the Jizzakh regional council of the Adolat social-democratic party of Uzbekistan was attended by party members, representatives of the Mahalla charity public foundation’s district department and the district council of the Kamolot public youth movement, active people of neighbourhoods and young people.

It has been said that under the leadership of the country’s President, consistent work being carried out on ensuring families’ stability, on raising the activeness of women and girls in the socio-political life of the country and on protecting motherhood and childhood is yielding great results.

In the year of maternal and child health, special attention has been paid to stepping up moral enlightenment work directed towards further raising families’ role, especially mothers’ role in educating young people and in making sure that they learn professions and regularly engage in sports.

In propagation measures directed towards raising the activeness of women and girls in families and society, the party’s district organization is also taking an active part. In the past period of this year, more than 40 events on this topic have been conducted at the initiative of active members of the women’s wing and the youth wing of the party.

“We are cooperating with local bodies of state administration and public organizations in raising the social status of women and girls and in ensuring a stable and healthy moral climate in families,” says the chairman of the party’s district council, M.Nekboyev.
