According to the resolution of the Council of the Senate of March 15, 2022, elections were held in 9,349 mahallas with the participation of members of the public.

9,349 chairmen of the mahalla citizens’ assemblies out of the 26,910 nominated candidates, were elected by secret ballot.

The elections were held in accordance with the requirements of the electoral legislation, with the participation of senators, deputies of local Councils, representatives of citizens in the spirit of openness, transparency and fairness.
