Uzbekistan Airports’ leadership met with China’s Loong Air representatives to discuss plans to open a new air route from Xi'an to Samarkand in the second half of June.

Prospects for expanding cargo transportation between the two countries were also analyzed at the meeting. Loong Air successfully operates regular passenger flights on the Chengdu – Tashkent and Xi'an – Tashkent routes three times a week.

Loong Air is a Chinese airline headquartered in Hangzhou. It is engaged in both passenger and cargo air transportation.
