London hosted the Uzbekistan – UK Education Forum, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the British Council, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, London South Bank University, Westminster International University in Tashkent, and TEAM University.

Rector of the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute, Feruza Madrakhimova, held talks on cooperation with representatives of several higher educational institutions in this country.

The forum’s first day was held at London South Bank University, and the second at the University of Westminster in London.

The third forum on “Developing sustainable partnership: Inclusive universities and industry collaborations” discussed priority areas in the Uzbek, British, and global higher education systems, ways to implement the tasks set, including through transnational education effectively, policy and practice in higher education, as well as cooperation issues.

Following the event, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute and the Norwich Institute for Language Education.

This document provides for cooperation in the academic and scientific fields, the exchange of teaching professors and students, the organization of internships and advanced training courses, scientific programs, and projects.
