On January 24-25 this year, an International Forum on “New Uzbekistan: New Opportunities and Social Partnership for Development” was held at the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London.

Representatives of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, government bodies, civil society institutions, diplomatic corps, and the Central Bank attended the event. Successful cooperation models between government agencies, business structures, and civil society institutions of Uzbekistan were presented to address issues of women’s entrepreneurship, employment, and gender equality.

The event provided a platform to share views on women’s entrepreneurship success, best practices, challenges, and solutions, including access to financing opportunities and financial education programs.

The participants discussed the financial inclusion of women and the role of financial institutions in this area. The importance of creating and maintaining a favorable institutional environment was emphasized.
