A Meeting of the Uzbekistan – Slovenia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation took place in Ljubljana, attended by the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov.
The parties discussed expanding the partnership in trade, transport, agriculture, digital transformation, education, and other promising areas. The parties confirmed their mutual willingness to step up dialogue and enhance practical cooperation.
During the visit, Laziz Kudratov met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon. Special attention was paid to the development of cooperation in pharmaceuticals, logistics, and critical minerals, as well as issues of facilitating the entry of Uzbekistan products into the European Union market.

Following the meeting, the Protocol of the Commission and the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministries of Agriculture of the two states were signed.
In addition, several meetings were held with representatives of leading Slovenian companies. Agreements have been reached to promote joint projects in digitalization, personnel training, pharmaceuticals, energy, insurance, and aviation.
