20:57 / 2024-02-28

At the session of Uzbekistan – China International Conference on “All-weather all-round strategic partnership: A new stage of relations between Uzbekistan and China”, experts analyzed the similarity of strategic programs developed along the path of cooperation in economics, tourism, culture, and regional security.

Director of the Information and Analytical Center for International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sanjar Valiyev:

– We are living in a period of unprecedented renaissance in connectivity. This is reflected in the consistent increase in strategic partnerships between our countries. This partnership is built on mutual trust and shared interest. In particular, the complex structure of practical cooperation, covering more than 20 areas, testifies to the meaningfulness of interaction in all respects.

Beijing maintains relations with all Central Asian countries towards cooperation. At the same time, there is no contradiction on any issue. Mutual goals in the international arena are entirely consistent.

Director of the Eurasia Institute of China Institute of International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Li Ziguo:

– The tourism sector has bilateral significance between individual countries and is considered an essential means of economic and cultural exchange. Priority attention to improving modern tourism and transport infrastructure makes it possible to develop various sectors of the economy. The numbers speak about the steadily developing relations between China and Uzbekistan in tourism. Last year alone, over 420,000 Uzbekistan citizens visited China, most of whom went to our country on vacation.

Director of the Institute for Social Development of Europe and Asia at the Development Research Center of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Yongquan:

– The Chinese economy, the ways for the country’s enterprises to enter the world market, and the strategy of reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, as well as the interests of the two countries, are deeply interconnected. We have many points of contact. Therefore, there is every reason to say that a new era will dawn on the process of our practical cooperation.

Uzbekistan can lead the development of Central Asia in many areas and deepen interregional cooperation. In the political sphere, this is manifested in issues of regional security and Afghanistan. In other areas, Uzbekistan can also take a special and vital place.

Efforts to preserve national sovereignty and the right to development will help China and Uzbekistan strengthen their partnership under any circumstances.
