The republican stage of the contest “The best school for teaching foreign languages” for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place.

The contest was attended by 70 best schoolchildren (5 children in each team) and 14 teachers from 12 regions, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the city of Tashkent.

40,325 children from 8,065 schools took part in the district stages of the competition. Of these, 37,075 took part in the competition in English, 1,800 in German, and the rest in French.

The 1st place was taken by the team of school No. 97 of Yunusabad district (Tashkent city), the 2nd place by the team of school No. 40 of Bukhara city, and the 3rd place by the team of school No. 5 of Almalyk city (Tashkent region).

The contest was organized by the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan and the Agency for Promoting Foreign Language Learning under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the Ziyo Forum Foundation for the Development of Science and Education.
