Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute hosted an international conference devoted to the study of languages in modern medicine, with participation of foreign experts.

The conference was attended by representatives of universities of Germany, France and the United States.

Reports of local and foreign experts on the role of foreign languages in training highly qualified medical personnel, innovative approaches to the study of foreign languages in modern medicine were heard.

Along with a positive assessment of activities being implemented in Uzbekistan, foreign experts noted the weakness of the foreign language control system. The need for creating the foreign languages control system in the medical industry was noted. This should not be considered in connection with development of English language courses in medicine and the general English language of health workers, but in monitoring and evaluating English knowledge in special medicine.

Current tasks of introducing innovative methods of teaching foreign languages in the pedagogical process of advanced training in the field of medicine and in specialized higher education institutions were discussed at the conference.
