12:20 / 2021-04-24

Indonesian media representatives have arrived in Uzbekistan. The delegation includes reporters from ANTV, CNN, TVRI, RRI, TransTV, Trans7 and ASWA Muslim TV, which has 166 million audiences.

Within two weeks, the delegation will travel to different regions of the country, including Tashkent, Termez, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Kokand.

The visit was organized on the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Indonesia, where all the necessary conditions have been created for exploring the tourism potential, shrines and historical monuments of Uzbekistan.

Several national TV channels of Indonesia will broadcast the “Ramadan in Uzbekistan” TV program which will inform the audience about the holy pilgrimage sites and great religious figures of Uzbekistan for Indonesian people during Suhoor and Iftar of the month of Ramadan.

The delegation will also get acquainted with tourism destinations and explore opportunities for cooperation with various organizations in tourism, such as tour operators, airlines, hotels and museums.

The purpose of the visit is to increase the flow of tourists by raising awareness of Indonesian tourists about Uzbekistan and promoting pilgrimage tourism.

This cooperation will serve to further develop tourism between the two countries, familiarize Indonesians with the ancient history of the country, existing shrines, the heritage of great religious figures, and gain new knowledge about Islam.
