Leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia hold a telephone conversation

On October 7, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the Leader of Russia on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, and continued success, as well as prosperity to the friendly people of Russia.

The current issues related to the further development and strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia, particularly in the context of implementing high-level agreements, were discussed.

Special attention was given to maintaining the positive growth momentum in mutual trade, advancing cooperative projects involving leading enterprises and companies in industry, energy, agriculture, and other priority sectors, as well as to expanding business partnerships between the regions of the two countries.

The ongoing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges were noted with deep satisfaction.

The leaders also exchanged views on current international and regional issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming joint events.
