Lazizbek Mullajonov won the gold medal in the boxing competition at the Paris Olympics.

Lazizbek, who defended the country's honor in the contest between men weighing up to 92 kilograms, competed with Loren Alfonso Domínguez from Azerbaijan in the last decisive final fight.

Mullajonov defeated his opponent in the battle and became the Olympic champion.

Thus, the number of medals in the Uzbekistan delegation reached 5 gold and 3 bronze.
