To preserve and develop the centuries-old traditions of the art of Khorezm Lazgi dance, strengthen friendship and brotherhood between peoples, and enhance creative cooperation and cultural ties at the international level, the Second International Lazgi Dance Festival is being held in Khiva from April 25 to 30.
The festival is organized once every two years, in accordance with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan of September 28, 2020.
In 2022, the International Lazgi Dance Festival, held in Khiva, Khorezm region, brought together more than 175 talented dancers from 30 countries.

Representing a rich tapestry of cultures, thirty-three countries are participating in the current festival, including the United Kingdom, France, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Spain, Egypt, Georgia, India, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Qatar, Azerbaijan, the United States, Austria and others. These are more than 200 talented dancers, professional dance groups, masters of dance art, musicologists and art critics, famous artists, experts, and honored guests.

Ensuring the highest standards of judgment, an international jury of esteemed representatives from France, Egypt, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan evaluated the contestants' performances at the festival. TURKSOY, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Japan, Brazil, France, and Egypt were the festival's honorary guests.

As part of the festival, with the participation of foreign and domestic dance masters, musicologists and art historians, famous artists, and honored guests, an international conference “Khorezm Lazgi Dance: Scientific Development of Cultural Diplomacy” was held. Roundtable discussions, creative meetings and masterclasses, concert performances, and exhibitions were organized. A dance competition was held on April 26-29.
The Grand Prize is $7 thousand. In 3 nominations, “Best solo dancer”, “Best dance group”, and “Best choreographed dance”, $5 thousand, $3 thousand, and $2 thousand are respectively awarded for 1, 2, and 3 places.
